Seeking Wisdom

It seems my constant prayer is for wisdom… wisdom in my relationships, how to invest my time, resources, finances, thought life. The list is endless. Can you relate?

I have learned so much about the Lord and the Word from hymns since a young child being raised in the church. I went on to be the organist for our church when the regular, far better, regular player was out of town. As a result, I have the words to hundreds stored in my memory. They serve as encouragement because they are rich in Scripture.

One of my many favorites is ‘Be Thou My Vision’. I am including the link as performed by the group Selah, a Celtic version I am particularly fond of.

My prayer is that you would meditate over the words as you seek the Lord for what you are needing today.

But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. – James 1:5

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. –  Proverbs 9:10

What are some things you do when seeking wisdom?

I read God’s Word to find wisdom. Proverbs has 31 chapters and each day I read the chapter to match the corresponding day. I will read Proverbs 7 now and pray the prayer of faith trusting God will impart a greater revelation.

What do you do when you walk tbrough a new season.. You know it is because your spirit says so.. One of abundance, acceptance, moving forward.. Yet you feel the same.. I seek, read pray for fulfillment and instead of well i find desert like all promises are a mirage.
