I visited the Grand Canyon while on vacation this summer, my first time to see it. Photos and video have no problem in revealing its beauty. I have never been able to experience its vast expanse, however.
Life experiences can also be like that. From a distance off, circumstances offer the larger picture to our family, friends, and others. It is only on close inspection that they can see the crevices and some of the craters created. From a distant view, your life may appear majestic. Perhaps you have seen only the deep and permanent formations formed out of the water and storms of your life.
If you find yourself looking at your life through internal binoculars, take a step back. Appreciate and acknowledge the heights of your life, not just the canyons. There is beauty and greatness in your life. The crevices are a part of the full picture. Enjoy the creation that is you.
